Hi,

I’d categorize myself as an every day blogger, not at all a professional. Sad, but true.. I’ll try to show how I would probably analyze a pro blogger from a normal blogger.. You might wanna check yourself with this blog entry and figure out what you you think people would think of your blog :p.

I’d try and categorize this entry by what a blogger would do and what a pro blogger would :D .

Writing

  • A normal blogger would:
    Schedule a blogging time for himself..
    He might aswell write very short blog entries, just to ensure he fulfills his blogging schedule..
    Probably would just blog for money or to write about something he doesn’t know much about..
    Could write in an informal manner which doesn’t always seem that fun..
    Might not always blog for the sake of blogging, by this I mean promoting a service or an object, in general blogging for marketing purposes..
  • A pro blogger would:
    Write only when he feels like and as much as he feels like and is driven by and only by feelings. Where feelings could be a news headline, an urge for feelings bursting or just to provide some valuable info to readers.
    Write for higher purposes, other than just making money and promoting something..
    Usually write in a formal manner and go informal at the right timing and at the right time.
    A pro blogger would never go off-topic for the sake of fulfilling a blogging schedule.
    A pro blogger wouldn’t add unneeded text, he proves his point in an as short manner as he could..

Customizing his/her blog

  • A normal blogger would: Use what’s infront of him, and limits it to what he finds more likable to himself.
  • A pro blogger would: Customize his/her blog to become on topic and provide the best linking structure for the blog readers could easily locate a blog he wants.. A pro blogger would also provide links to his rss feeds.. It doesn’t matter for him/her where the reader is reading as long as he’s reading :D .

Inbound and Outbound Linking

  • A normal blogger would: Try to link to his affiliate links and hardly ever links to in an outbound manner(, to outside sites).
  • A pro blogger would: Never link to affiliates in his/her blog posts. He/She would link to his other blog posts in blog posts WHENEVER that certain blog post’s topic has arrised..

Monetizing the blog

  • A normal blogger would: Aim to put ads whenever he could, not thinking of optimizing the ads, working under the slogan of “The more the better”.
  • A pro blogger would: Put ads wherever he believes is most appropriate and aim to optimize it to get the best results, although making money out of the blog isn’t his/her first aim..

I planned this blog entry to be alot longer, but I really need to sleep and wouldn’t be able to sleep if I didn’t blog about this, yesterday night proved that :D ..
