For a while there, I’ve considered “nofollow” links as “not worth the time” links. Especially after reading Matt Cutts’ blog entry.

I.E. I’ve usually commented at lots of blogs, always attaching my link. But as I investigated it a bit, I found out that most blog platforms add a “nofollow” attribute to links. To prevent blog spam that is. Certainly, that wasn’t a big surprise for me, as these backlinks hardly ever showed up on my backlinks page.

Another thing was that many webmastees, me one of them, never even considered adding a link to a directory with only “nofollow” links.

Now that that’s settled, I’d like to tell you that “nofollow” links, might after all have some value. “Nofollow” links have always been assumed to carry very little if not no value at all for SEs to a point where SEs didn’t put it up as a backlink. I’ve always thought so too, but lately, I found some of my “nofollow” links appearing at Yahoo!, not that I care about that hacks anyways :D .

This is one of the backlinks I’m getting on Yahoo! from Lorelle’s blog.

Dunno, you might wanna re-think that no to nofollow links option :D .

Tata for now!
